イングリッシュパブで宴を・・
年末の忘年会、そして年が明けて新年会と年末年始は飲み会が
多いのですが、最近極力減らしている。会社関係は殆どなし。
もっぱらプライベートな関係のみの飲み会に出ている。
今年の新年会はリッチにふぐ鍋で始まりまった。摂津峡温泉の
山水館という所でいつも行く居酒屋の常連さんにこの山水館の
板長さんがいらっしゃいます。この方の口利きでふぐ鍋を堪能
しました。てっさに始まり白子、てっちりと最後は雑炊とフル
コースでした。
しばらくはちょっとした鍋は食べられません。
先日も新年会ではないのだけど飲み会がありました。居酒屋の
常連さんが今度転勤になるということで、送別会がありました。
一番親しい方なので幹事を担当したのですが、先に言ったとおり
いつものような宴会では皆さん物足りません。そこで主賓の
好みもあり、今回はイングリッシュパブでの開催にした。
地元高槻にあるイギリス人のマスターがやっている本格的な
パブ。生のGuinnessがのめます。（１０月のGuinnessがすき！でも
書いてますが・・・）
料理はイングランドといえば、まずはフィッシュアンドチップス。
タラとポテトのフライを塩、胡椒とビネガーで頂きます。次に
パイ料理、とくにマスター出身のコーンウォール地方の名物？の
パイはちょっと変わったもの。上手く表現できないけど、一度は
試してみる価値あり、美味しいです、ハイ！！
他にソラマメとベーコン、たまねぎを塩と胡椒だけで調理したのも
いけます。（これはスペインの料理だそうです）
今回の参加者はGuinnessの好きな２－３人を除いてはイングリッシュ
パブなんてのは初めての様子。でも、結構気に入って頂きました。
居酒屋のママさんなんかは今後のメニューの参考にすると喜んで
おりました。
